On December 8, 2024, a special event was organized at the Rotary Hall in Sivakasi to commemorate International Human Rights Day - 2024. The event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India (Nehru Yuva Kendra - Virudhunagar District, Sivakasi Union) and Anbaal Inaivom Trust - Sivakasi. The primary objective of this event was to encourage and nurture the talents of school students by conducting various talent competitions such as Essay Writing, Elocution, Painting, and Photography. The competitions were organized in two categories: Category 1: Classes 1 to 5 Category 2: Classes 6 to 12 More than 100 students from schools in and around Sivakasi enthusiastically participated in the competitions. Winners were awarded exciting prizes to celebrate their achievements. The event was presided over by the Honorable Mayor of Sivakasi Corporation, Mrs. Sangeetha Inbam, who graced the occasion as the chief guest and inspired the young participants with her motivating speech.
